I still have a lot of reservations about the potential of Steven R. Monroe’s remake of the notorious 1978 I Spit on Your Grave but I’m still hopeful that this could be as interesting a film as the original. The film recently played at the Fantasia Festival where it received a mixture of reactions, including someone fainting and someone verbally attacking the filmmakers for making this film. It certainly seems to be stirring up controversy at least.

Yahoo movies have now debuted the US theatrical trailer, embedded below, which is similar to the first teaser but with a few extra shots. It also makes a point of referencing that the film is unrated in the USA, a fact that Anchor Bay appears to be using to help build hype around this film.

You can read my thoughts on the first trailer released and the posters here and I’ll be posting my thoughts on the film when I see it at FrightFest later this month, where it is receiving its European premiere.
