Today has been a very good day for those of us looking forward to The Wolverine.
We started things out with the first theatrical poster for the film, giving us an epic look at Hugh Jackman returning to the X-Men world as Logan / Wolverine. We then followed it up with an awesome new set of images, along with an alternate poster.
And now the first sneak peek has arrived through Vine for The Wolverine’s first teaser trailer. The full trailer is set to debut on Wednesday, and director James Mangold has announced on Twitter that tomorrow will bring with it a 20-second teaser, following the six-second teaser below.

This first sneak peek gives us a glimpse of an awesome cameo in the film. If you don’t want to know who it is, then look away now.
Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.
Jackman is joined by a great ensemble, led by Hiroyuki Sanada, Rila Fukushima, Tao Okamoto, Will Yun Lee, Hal Yamanouchi, Brian Tee, and Svetlana Khodchenkova.
Mangold is directing from a script co-written by Christopher McQuarrie and Mark Bomback. And Jackman also produces alongside Hutch Parker, John Palermo (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Drive), and Lauren Shuler Donner (X-Men, Constantine).
The Wolverine will be released in 3D on 26th July in the UK and US. Its release date is definitely something to get excited about, if you weren’t already. You just know this is going to be awesome.
