Yesterday brought with it a slew of brilliant new things ahead of this summer’s release of The Wolverine. We saw an awesome new poster, a new set of images, and the first sneak peek at tomorrow’s teaser trailer.
With a new sneak peek set to land later today, a new motion poster has debuted online, giving us a look at Hugh Jackman once more reprising his role as Logan / Wolverine, and looking rather epic out in the rain.
Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.
Jackman is joined by a great ensemble, led by Hiroyuki Sanada, Rila Fukushima, Tao Okamoto, Will Yun Lee, Hal Yamanouchi, Brian Tee, and Svetlana Khodchenkova.
Mangold is directing from a script co-written by Christopher McQuarrie and Mark Bomback. And Jackman also produces alongside Hutch Parker, John Palermo (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Drive), and Lauren Shuler Donner (X-Men, Constantine).
The Wolverine will be released in 3D on 26th July in the UK and US, and is looking like a strong bet for one of the biggest blockbusters of the summer. I can’t wait for it to land. For now, here’s the new motion poster. And be sure to check back later for the longer sneak peek, ahead of tomorrow’s first trailer.
