Hugh Jackman will be reprising his role as Logan on the big screen next summer in The Wolverine, the latest feature in the X-Men universe that sees James Mangold (Walk the Line) take the helm.

At 8:00 p.m. GMT (that’s 1:00 p.m. PT), Jackman and Mangold will be taking part in a global live chat even, hosted by Marvel’s Agent M. So wherever you’re reading this around the world, we’ve got half an hour (at time of print) until we get some questions answered.

“Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.”

Mangold recently spoke about the film’s position in the X-Men chronology as coming after the original trilogy, but there’s been talk of WWII era from the set photos, and hopefully we’ll have some more news on that front in tonight’s chat.

Mangold is directing from a script penned by Christopher McQuarrie and Mark Bomback, with Jackman starring alongside Hiroyuki Sanada, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, Will Yun Lee, Hal Yamanouchi, Brian Tee, and Svetlana Khodchenkova.

There have also been rumours in recent weeks of Famke Janssen reprising her role as Jean Grey, which would definitely be something we’d love to hear more about tonight – but there’s a good chance they’ll want to keep that officially under wraps until the film hits the big screen.

The Wolverine is set to unleash its claws in the UK and US on 26th July, 2013. It’s expected to be one of the biggest films of next year, and we can’t wait for its arrival. Now, stay tuned for 8:00 p.m., when the video below will go live, with Jackman and Mangold broadcast live from the set in Sydney, Australia. Enjoy.
