The Wolverine is naturally one of the films I’m most looking forward to next summer. Hugh Jackman returns once more as Logan / Wolverine, complete with adamantium (as well as bone) claws, and we can’t wait to see what comes next.
Following an excellent live chat with Jackman and director James Mangold, we were treated to an awesome teaser poster just over a month ago, and now a beautiful new motion poster has debuted over on the film’s site.
“Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.”
Jackman stars alongside an excellent cast, headed up by the great Hiroyuki Sanada, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, Will Yun Lee, Hal Yamanouchi, Brian Tee, and Svetlana Khodchenkova.
Mangold is directing from a script penned by Christopher McQuarrie and Mark Bomback, with Jackman himself producing alongside Hutch Parker, John Palermo (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Drive), and Lauren Shuler Donner (X-Men, Constantine).
The Wolverine is set for a 3D release in the UK on 25th July, 2013, arriving a day later in the US on 26th July. For now, here’s the brilliant new motion poster. Enjoy.
