If you’re hoping that the first trailer for The Walking Dead season seven will reveal who Negan murders in the upcoming premiere, then you’ll almost certainly be disappointed. In order to hide their identity, much of the trailer below is made up of flashbacks, and the survivors don’t factor into the rest of the footage in order to not give anything away.
However, to make up for that, we get to see plenty of the villainous Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his Saviors, while the video also confirms that we’re going to visit yet another community, and it’s one which should be instantly familiar to fans of the comic books.
That is The Kingdom, the home of King Ezekiel. It’s been widely rumoured that the character would show up in season seven, but we finally get confirmation of that here. He’s not alone though as joining him is his pet tiger, Shiva. Most assumed that the animal probably wouldn’t make it into the series, but there she is, and if she’s a fully CGI creation, she looks amazing!
It was also confirmed during The Walking Dead’s Comic-Con panel that the series will return on October 23rd, and that means it should be back on Fox in the UK by the following day.
