Reuniting the immensely successful team behind the original Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, The Lone Ranger is shaping up to be an awesome action-packed blockbuster fit for the summer season.
Gore Verbinski is back behind the camera for his first live-action film since Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, and I can’t wait to see him working with Johnny Depp again.
The last thing we saw from the film was Armie Hammer facing a 2,000-foot drop during production. And now Disney have released two awesome new TV spots, giving us another great taste for the action coming our way soon.
Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice–taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.
Hammer and Depp are joined by a terrific cast, led by Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, and Ruth Wilson.
Verbinski is directing from a script written by Terry Rossio and Ted Elliott, who penned all four of the Pirates films, and Justin Haythe (Revolutionary Road).
The Lone Ranger will be released on July 3rd in the US, and has its UK release date following a few weeks later on 9th August. Here are the latest TV spots to set the tone nicely.
