The-Lone-Ranger-International-PosterGore Verbinski’s The Lone Ranger is one of the year’s biggest blockbusters, with a mammoth budget to match the epic scale of the action we have coming our way this summer.

Disney recently released the final US trailer, showing off plenty of awesome new footage, which was soon followed by a great international trailer, teasing plenty more. And with its US release date less than two months away, the studio have released a new teaser poster, along with a new international poster for its Israeli release.

Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice–taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

Armie Hammer takes the eponymous lead as John Reid / The Lone Ranger, with Johnny Depp starring opposite him as Tonto. And joining the two is a terrific cast, led by Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, and Ruth Wilson.

Verbinski is directing from a script written by Terry Rossio and Ted Elliott, who penned all four of the Pirates films, and Justin Haythe (Revolutionary Road).

The film marks another highly promising collaboration between Verbinski, Depp, and co-writers Rossio and Elliott, all of whom have worked together on the Pirates films. We all know how hugely successful they were, and I’ve got a good feeling that The Lone Ranger will be following nicely in those footsteps.

The Lone Ranger will be hitting US cinemas on July 3rd, with its UK release date set for a little later on 9th August. For now, here’s the great new international poster featuring Hammer, Depp, and Bonham Carter.

Since graduating, I spend as much time as possible watching films/TV shows, reading books, and listening to music. So getting to write about what I love is nothing short of awesome. Biggest film-related hope for 2014/ever: Guy Ritchie announcing the RocknRolla sequel is finally moving forward.
