Phillips teams up again with Paul Tanter, who wrote and directed the White Collar Hooligan trilogy and now steps into the producer role as well as providing the screenplay on a story which takes its inspiration from Tanter’s love of sci-fi series Red Dwarf and Star Trek.  The Last Scout has a cast that includes Phillips, Blaine Gray (Jane The Virgin), Rebecca Ferdinando (Bonded By Blood), Deji LaRay (Bosch), Rita Ramnani (Jack Falls), Paul Thomas Arnold (Emergency: LA) and Peter Woodward (Babylon 5).

Director Simon Phillips remarked “As a huge fan of Battlestar Galactica and Sunshine, I was very keen that my next feature as a director was a sci-fi. Paul’s intelligent script combines thought-provoking questions about humanity with suspense and exciting action.”
