The-Internship-PosterVince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are back. Hitting the big screen this summer, Shawn Levy’s The Internship marks the leading duo’s first time together since the brilliant Wedding Crashers. And I have a feeling it’s going to be one of the best comedies of the year.

We saw a great first teaser poster last month. And now, following a live Google+ hangout with Vaughn and Wilson, hosted by Conan O’Brien, the first trailer has premiered online.

“Billy (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Owen Wilson) are salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital world. Trying to prove they are not obsolete, they defy the odds by talking their way into a coveted internship at Google, along with a battalion of brilliant college students. But, gaining entrance to this utopia is only half the battle. Now they must compete with a group of the nation’s most elite, tech-savvy geniuses to prove that necessity really is the mother of re-invention.”

Vaughn and Wilson are joined by a great cast here for The Internship, headed up by Rose Byrne, Josh Gad, Max Minghella, Jessica Szohr, and the ever-brilliant John Goodman.

Levy (Real Steel) is behind the camera, directing from a script co-written by Vaughn and Jared Stern (The Watch), based on a story by Vaughn.

Vaughn is not only reteaming with Wilson here, but also with Levy, after Levy produced last summer’s The Watch.

The premise of the film has a lot of potential, the cast is brilliant, and I can’t wait to see it when it lands in a few months’ time.

The Internship will be released in the US on 7th June, with its UK release date set a little later for 4th July. For now, here’s the great first trailer to set the tone. Enjoy.
