The Imitation Game made its mark here in the capital, opening the record breaking 58th London Film Festival, a couple of week ago with stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley drawing in the crowds. With the obligatory Oscar buzz surrounding the film, not least for Cumberbatch’s sterling turn as Alan Turing, this is definitely one to watch.
Headhunters director Morten Tyldum has done a fine job with the film, keenly depicting the frantic race to crack the Nazi’s codes with the Enigma machine as well as the frustration and isolation of Turing following the war.
Mark Strong, Matthew Goode, Allen Leech and Charles Dance make up some of the supporting cast, and this gives an indication as to the quality of the film and the draw of its Blacklist-topping script by Graham Moore.
The film is out on the 14th of November, you can see the new poster below and our premiere interviews and full press conference video with the cast and crew from the London Film Festival follow.
