Todd Phillips’ The Hangover Part III naturally has a lot of anticipation surrounding it. The last instalment took the franchise to new heights, topping box offices around the world, and taking more than half a billion dollars in the process.
The final film to conclude the trilogy is set to break from the formula of the first two films, and we’re really looking forward to seeing how it all ends.
The first teaser trailer is set to debut tomorrow, and ahead of its release, a brilliant first poster has surfaced online, giving us a look at an epic showdown between Alan and Chow.
The official synopsis remains under wraps for now, but we’re expecting there to be no wedding like we had in the first films. All bets are pretty much off as to how awesome this is going to be.
Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, and Justin Bartha will be back for one final outing as the Wolfpack. And they’re joined by another brilliant ensemble, led by Ken Jeong, John Goodman, Heather Graham, Jamie Chung, Jeffrey Tambor, and Mike Epps.
Phillips is taking the helm once more, directing from a script he co-wrote with Craig Mazin (The Hangover Part II), with Phillips also producing alongside frequent collaborator Daniel Goldberg (The Hangover, Due Date).
We’ve got so much to look forward to here. I love the fact that they’re breaking from the formula for this last instalment. And we’ve heard that Jeong, who is of course seen below reprising his role as Mr. Chow, will be having a more prominent role for this final outing, which can only be good news.
The Hangover Part III will be released on 24th May, which puts it head-to-head with Universal’s and Justin Lin’s Fast and Furious 6. I’m planning on seeing them both during their opening weekend, and hope you’ll do the same. They’re both just going to be brilliant. Here’s the first poster for The Hangover Part III which takes on a parody of the final Harry Potter movie making sure that ‘It All Ends’! Be sure to come back later to see the first teaser trailer land on Thursday.
