Embedded below is the new trailer for Tron Legacy.

Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), after being tipped of by Alan Bradley (Bruce Boxleitner), investigates an old arcade and a secret door opens to the digital world of Tron. Here he comes into contact with his father (Jeff Bridges) who has been there for some time.

The effects look fantastic and although the look has been updated the style is very similar to the first film. Despite the large gap between the two films this does feel like maybe it will be an appropriate sequel to the original.

The trailer has just the right amount of hints at great action and lines of intriguing dialogue that will tease the audience until we see more of the film. The music by Daft Punk sounds great too and I look forward to hearing more from the score.

Synopsis: TRON: LEGACY is a 3D high-tech adventure set in a digital world that’s unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn (GARRETT HEDLUND), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (JEFF BRIDGES), looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the digital world of Tron where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant Qora (OLIVIA WILDE), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey of escape across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.

The trailer certainly looks encouraging and I’m really looking forward to the film when it is released on 17th December.
