The-Fault-in-Our-Stars-PosterLed by rising young stars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, Josh Boone’s upcoming adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars has always been one of the year’s most anticipated movies.

Based on the best-selling book of the same name, which has becoming incredibly popular since its release two years ago, the film sees Woodley and Elgort take the lead as young lovers Hazel and Gus. And with its summer release on the horizon, Fox has launched the first trailer.

Hazel (Shailene Woodley) and Gus (Ansel Elgort) are two extraordinary teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them — and us — on an unforgettable journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous, given that they met and fell in love at a cancer support group.

THE FAULT IN OUR STARS, based upon the number-one bestselling novel by John Green, explores the funny, thrilling and tragic business of being alive and in love.

Woodley and Elgort are joined by an excellent cast, led by Nat Wolff, Willem Dafoe, Laura Dern, Lotte Verbeek, Sam Trammell, Emily Peachey, and Mike Birbiglia.

Josh Boone (Stuck in Love) is making his sophomore feature in the director’s chair, with co-writers Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber (The Spectacular Now, (500) Days of Summer) adapting John Green’s novel of the same name.

The Fault in Our Stars will be released in the US on June 6th, arriving two weeks later in the UK on 20th June. Whilst we count down the months, here’s the first trailer to give you a flavour for what to expect.
