The marketing campaign for Disney’s John Carter is taking a saturation approach, but it’s doing its job well, because every time we get something new from the film, it makes me want to see it even more.

Taylor Kitsch takes the lead as the eponymous John Carter under Oscar winner Andrew Stanton’s direction, with a supporting cast that includes Lynn Collins, Mark Strong, Willem Dafoe, Bryan Cranston, Dominic West, Samantha Morton, Ciarán Hinds, and James Purefoy.

We now have another minute-long look at the film to share with you, courtesy of Yahoo Movies, that features some of the scenes we’ve seen from the film already as well as some awesome new footage. And to go alongside that, the first clips from the film have also surfaced online, via ComingSoon.net and io9, giving us a look at a few great scenes from the film.

“Synopsis: From Academy Award(R)-winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton comes “John Carter”–a sweeping action-adventure set on the mysterious and exotic planet of Barsoom (Mars). “John Carter” is based on a classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs , whose highly imaginative adventures served as inspiration for many filmmakers, both past and present. The film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). In a world on the brink of collapse, Carter rediscovers his humanity when he realizes that the survival of Barsoom and its people rests in his hands.”

John Carter, based on the books created by Edgar Rice Burroughs a hundred years ago, will be with us in 3D on 9th March both here and in the States, and it looks like Disney have got yet another huge success on their hands. Here’s the new promo to give you a taste of what to expect in three weeks’ time. I can’t wait.
