The-Bling-Ring-Poster-TeaserSofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring was announced as part of the Cannes Film Festival line-up last week, meaning that it will be making its world premiere in just a few weeks’ time.

The film sees Emma Watson return to the big screen after her first post-Harry Potter leading role last year in The Perks of Being a Wallflower. And, naturally, we’re all looking forward to seeing her in a character entirely different to what we’ve often seen her play.

The first teaser trailer surfaced last month, giving us a brilliant flavour of what’s to come in Coppola’s latest feature. And now the full-length trailer has debuted over at Yahoo Movies, giving a longer look at what we’ve got to look forward to this summer.

In the fame-obsessed world of Los Angeles, a group of teenagers take us on a thrilling and disturbing crime-spree in the Hollywood hills. Based on true events, the group, who were fixated on the glamorous life, tracked their celebrity targets online, and stole more than 3 million in luxury goods from their homes. Their victims included Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom, and Rachel Bilson, and the gang became known in the media as “The Bling Ring.”

Watson stars alongside a great cast, led by Taissa Farmiga, Katie Chang, Israel Broussard, Claire Pfister, and Carlos Miranda, with Leslie Mann starring as Watson’s on-screen mother.

Coppola is directing from her own script, based on an original article by Nancy Jo Sales for Vanity Fair called, The Suspects Wore Louboutins.

The Bling Ring will begin its limited in the US on June 14th, with its UK release date set for a few weeks later on 5th July. Here’s the new trailer to get you in the mood. It looks like this should be a lot of fun.
