Of all the things we’ve seen surrounding Joss Whedon’s upcoming The Avengers, this has to be up there as one of the most entertaining/different so far. One hundred per cent unofficial, this new video cuts together clips from both Marvel and non-Marvel films of the cast of The Avengers and sets it to the music of The Rembrandts’ I’ll Be There For You, giving us a look at what The Avengers: The Sitcom might look like, à la Friends.

In recent months, we’ve been treated to plenty of great things from the film that leave us in no doubt as to how amazing this will be – and I’m sure that when the film itself hits the big screen, it’ll be even better than we ever imagined.

The next entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe sees Whedon directing from his own script, and of course all of our favourite superheroes from recent years will be returning, including Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr., with Paul Bettany returning as JARVIS), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo, taking over from Edward Norton), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg), Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and Loki (Tom Hiddleston).

We heard at the end of last month that the film has officially been re-titled Avengers Assemble here in the UK (and it came with an awesome poster to prove it), so when you see adverts for ‘Avengers Assemble’ rather than ‘The Avengers’, be sure to pay attention.

Avengers Assemble will be with us here in the UK on 27th April, before heading out to the US as The Avengers a week later on 4th May, in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D.
