Ben Affleck may be a superhero these days, but the Batman v Superman and Justice League star is still making time for regular movies where he doesn’t have to don spandex or armour!
His next comes from Warrior and Jane Got A Gun helmer Gavin O’Connor, and it features our new Dark Knight as a mild mannered accountant who freelances as an assassin. The Accountant looks great, and Warner Bros. certainly know how to put a great trailer together.
Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) stars as a math savant with more affinity for numbers than people. Behind the cover of a small-town CPA office, he works as a freelance accountant for some of the world’s most dangerous criminal organizations. With the Treasury Department’s Crime Enforcement Division, run by Ray King (J.K. Simmons), starting to close in, Christian takes on a legitimate client: a state-of- the- art robotics company where an accounting clerk (Anna Kendrick) has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. But as Christian uncooks the books and gets closer to the truth, it is the body count that starts to rise.
The impressive cast also includes Jon Bernthal, Jeffrey Tambor, and John Lithgow. The Accountant is set to be released on November 4th, later this year, so stay tuned for updates!
