Any movie that can pull off character posters taken in a set of toilet cubicles is surely onto a winner right?! Sony Pictures UK have just released this brand new set of character posters for the followup to 1996 movie Trainspotting. The sequel has the title T2 Trainspotting – not to be confused with that movie featuring lots of insane robots trying to wipe out the human race!

Trainspotting was a film like no other bringing directing genius Danny Boyle together with a cast that included Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, Kevin McKidd, Robert Carlyle and Kelly Macdonald in her first ever movie.

It pushed boundaries like never before telling the story about a group of heroine addicts in an economically depressed area of Edinburgh in the late 1980s. With a meagre budget of just £1.5m, Danny Boyle showed that by assembling a wonderful cast of actors and with a cutting edge unapologetic script, you can do wonders. The movie brought in around £48m but Trainspotting has since become a cult classic.
