Following his success with last year’s old-school action ensemble The Expendables, Sylvester Stallone has found himself in high demand again. The Hollywood Reporter brings news that he’ll star in Wayne (The Cooler) Kramer’s next feature – and action adventure called Headshot.

The Rocky star will play a New Orleans hitman who joins forces with a young NYPD detective to take part in an investigation that leads from New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of Washington, D.C.

Scripted by Alessandro Camon (who wrote the well-received Ben Foster/Woody Harrelson war drama The Messenger) the film will be produced by the daughter of renowned Hollywood producer Arnon Milchan (Alexandra), alongside Alfred Gough, Miles Millar and Kevin King Templeton, Stallone’s long-time producing partner.
