It’s all about ‘street cred’ and pride in the small town of Frazier Park, CA. In ‘The FP’, JTRO and his crew seek revenge on a neighbouring clan after the death of his brother, not with traditional weapons like fists, or guns, but with a dance off…Beat Beat Revolution.

If you’re looking for a good combination of humour, trash talk and video games then you’ll enjoy this film by Directors/Screenwriters Jason and Brandon Trost, based on their short film released in 2007.

Silly slang, ridiculous characters, like Art Hsu’s character, KCDC, and a tale of revenge after BTRO’s death (exhaustion from too much Beat Beat), ‘The FP’ is definitely entertaining. It’s a parody on a martial arts or sports movie, featuring one of the most fun and popular video games of all time, Dance Dance Revolution.

Although the film is funny and entertaining on different levels, it would probably appeal most to those who grew up on video games, or speaking slang back in High School. The references and jokes in the film would be a lot easier to relate to.

Other than a few superfluous moments in the film that seemed a bit dull, the hilarious dialogue and over-dramatic storyline make for one surprisingly, humorous film that would be appreciated most by those who are fans of silly slang and video games.
