It feels like a long time since we last saw a comic book adaptation on the big screen, with the last one to reach cinemas being the divisive X-Men: Apocalypse. However, next up is David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, and based on everything we’ve seen so far, it definitely doesn’t look like it’s going to disappoint. That’s evident from the new footage in the players below.

First up is a brief clip featuring Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, a character we still know very little about. In the TV spots, we get to see new footage of pretty much every member of Task Force X, though both Batman and The Joker also make their presences felt here.

There’s a lot riding on Suicide Squad after the mixed reaction to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice back in March, but it definitely seems to have all the makings of a hit so far.

Starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Viola Davis, and Ben Affleck, Suicide Squad is set to be released on August 5th, 2016. Stay tuned for much more on the movie this weekend as Suicide Squad is expected to have a major presence at the San Diego Comic-Con.
