2014 was the first year since 2005 that Pixar didn’t release a movie, and that’s because The Good Dinosaur was given a new director and an overhauled story which resulted in the unfortunate release date delay.

The Good Dinosaur asks the generations-old question: What if the asteroid that changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? The film is a humorous and exciting original story about Arlo, a lively Apatosaurus with a big heart. After a traumatic event unsettles Arlo’s family, he sets out on a remarkable journey, gaining an unlikely companion along the way – a human boy!

Disney and Pixar describe The Good Dinosaur as an extraordinary journey of self-discovery full of thrilling adventure, hilarious characters and poignant heart, and it’s without a doubt a very interesting premise.

The voice cast of The Good Dinosaur includes Lucas Neff, Bill Hader, Neil Patrick Harris, John Lithgow, Frances McDormand, and Judy Greer. It’s set to reach cinemas in the US on November 25th later, but there’s no official word yet on a UK release (hopefully it won’t be delayed like Wreck-It Ralph and Big Hero 6).
