Star Trek Into Darkness hits UK cinemas this Thrusday 9th May in the UK and in the US 17th May and if you’ve not already seen it, you can read our review of the movie here. It’s fair to say that we liked it rather a lot! We’ve had so many great posters for the movie that I thought it might be fun to go through and look at some from years past. Star Trek has always been so special to me and the hype always begins at the movie marketing level way before the movie comes out.
It’s quite amusing to see that in years gone by, there may be one or two posters for a movie where as in the world of the internet, we may get 20 or 30 posters for just one movie, this will become evident when you start clicking through the posters that I’ve selected below. Most of the posters you’ll see are from US or UK releases but there’s a few in there which are international posters giving you a slightly different look at the same movie from another angle. I also found some posters which were official but have been scanned by people and then uploaded to the internets so have included a few of those but most of them are the original prints from when the movie first came out.
