Jason Statham has often been rather reluctant to step into the superhero movie genre, but it sounds like the British actor will soon play a villain in the Netflix corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to a new report, the Spy and Furious 7 star is meeting with Marvel about the role of Bullseye in Daredevil.

A deadly killer for hire capable of using practically anything as a lethal projectile weapon with flawless accuracy and deadly force, Bullseye is one of the most psychotic and sadistic characters in Marvel and serves as one of Daredevil’s most dangerous foes. He’s often been employed by The Kingpin in the comic books.

Colin Farrell played the villain in the Daredevil movie which starred Ben Affleck, but Statham seems much better suited to the role. It sounds like it’s still early days though, so we’ll have to wait and see!

Interestingly, the site also mentions that Elektra will definitely be in season two of the hit Netflix series, as will Mr. Fear. However, most exciting and interesting is the fact that they believe classic Spider-Man foe Mysterio will also show up, and that’s definitely a bonus of the deal between Marvel and Sony if true!
