Spring-Breakers-UK-Quad-PosterHarmony Korine’s Spring Breakers is sure to be one of the most talked-about films of the year, with its young female leading quartet really going against type. That much can be told by the latest red-band trailer.

Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine star as the titular young spring breakers, with James Franco starring opposite them as Alien.

The film is heading into US theatres next month, and will be released here in the UK. And now Total Film have debuted the new quad poster for our shores, with Hudgens front and centre.

“Brit, Candy, Cotty, and Faith have been best friends since grade school. They live together in a boring college dorm and are hungry for adventure. All they have to do is save enough money for spring break to get their shot at having some real fun. A serendipitous encounter with rapper “Alien” promises to provide the girls with all the thrill and excitement they could hope for. With the encouragement of their new friend, it soon becomes unclear how far the girls are willing to go to experience a spring break they will never forget.”

Korine is once more directing from his own script, with the renowned Skrillex working on the score alongside Cliff Martinez (Drive, Contagion).

As the youngest of the four, with the ‘cleanest’ image, a lot has already been said of Gomez’s excellent performance here. And going one step further, Hudgens is the one who really gives the most memorable performance of them all. I was lucky enough to see the film at TIFF, and can’t wait to see it again this spring.

Spring Breakers will be released in the US on 22nd March, and will be released here in the UK on 5th April. Whilst we await its arrival, here’s the new UK quad poster. Enjoy.

Since graduating, I spend as much time as possible watching films/TV shows, reading books, and listening to music. So getting to write about what I love is nothing short of awesome. Biggest film-related hope for 2014/ever: Guy Ritchie announcing the RocknRolla sequel is finally moving forward.
