It’s not long now until audiences across the globe get their first glimpse of the brand new film featuring our favourite web-slinger – and this time he’s brought along his Marvel “super friends” as well. You can view the full clip below! And today, to celebrate the MTV Movie and TV Awards, Marvel and Sony have debuted the first official clip from Spider-Man: Homecoming, which sees Tom Holland (The Impossible) reprise his role from last summer’s Captain America: Civil War and marks the first stand-alone Spidey film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU to me and you!)

As we have seen, Peter Parker is already the titular hero at the start of the new film and sees the teenager wrestle with modern high-school life in Queens as well as trying his best to keep the city safe from the bad guys (in this case, Michael Keaton’s Vulture).

Add to that Peter’s desire to join The Avengers permanently and you have a movie packed with many things – but with Marvel now onboard with Sony, we think this could be the best Spider-Man yet. Indeed, while Iron Man/ Tony Stark does make an appearance, we wonder who else from the roster may pop up to say hello. Captain America? Black Widow? Captain Marvel?

Here’s the official synopsis:

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Alongside Holland and Keaton, Robert Downey Jnr rejoins the fun as Tony Stark / Iron Man as does Oscar Winner Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. Zendaya, Angourie Rice, Donald Glover, Martin Starr, Logan Marshall-Green, Bokeem Woodbine, Hannibal Buress and Jon Favreau also co-star. Jon Watts (Cop Car) directs.

Spider-Man: Homecoming opens on July 7th.
