Universal Pictures have released this great featurette from the movie looking at how the armies were created in the wood during the opening scene of the film where we see the King attaching hundreds of people who shatter on impact. Most of what you see was done in a computer and as you’ll see from the video embedded below, it’s all rather clever! I’m not sure if it’s going to be on the Blu-ray when it’s released but it really should be as it’s immense. The two sequences in this focus on the wood scene followed by the beach in Pembrokeshire where they add explosions and arrows.

The CG in these sequences was done by VFX house Pixomondo who have worked previously on the likes of Red Tails. Game of Thrones and Hugo. Click below below and get ready to be amazed!

Snow White and the Huntsman stars Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Ray Winstone, Lily Cole, Ian McShane and is directed by Rupert Sanders. Also if you were wondering, the awesome tune over the top of this video is Ready Stead Go by Oakenfold.
