Michael Fassbender’s latest film is currently waiting in the wings as Cannes gets underway, and if anyone can do The Scottish Play justice it’s this man.

Away from the French Riveria another of Fassbender’s projects is finding a home on the big screen on the 26th of June this year, and the arid burn of John Mclean’s Slow West blasted out of Sundance with a pocketful of rave reviews.

The new trailer plays up the Coen-esque grittiness of the story, that of a young boy travelling to the edge of the American frontier at the close of the 19th Century to find the girl he loves. Kodi Smitt-McPhee and Ben Mendelsohn join Fassbender in the cast and from what we can see below this looks likely to be a brutal and bloody mess.

Take a look at the new posters and trailer.
