Since then, they’ve ended up at the helm of the planned Star Wars spinoff movie focusing on Hal Solo, so a new director has been found.

That will be Seth Grahame-Smith, the author of best-selling novels like Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. However, he’s also brought his writing talents to the big screen, and is in the process of scribing LEGO Batman for Warner Bros.

His Barry Allen will first appear in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next year, then Justice League in 2017, and his own solo outing on March 3rd, 2018; in other words, it going to be a busy few years for the young actor.

The Flash will be Grahame-Smith’s feature directorial debut, and he’s an unexpected and intriguing choice for the job. With The Flash currently proving a hit on television, it should be interesting to see how this big screen take ends up differentiating itself from that…
