Pixar’s sequels have been met with a mixed response over the years, but one fans have been crying out to see for years now is a follow-up to The Incredibles. Released in 2004, it earned over $630 million, and the next instalment of the franchise has been dated for June 2018.

Now, Samuel L. Jackson has taken to Instagram to share a behind the scenes look at his first recording session for the movie. It’s been twelve years since he first played Frozone, but The Avengers and Kong: Skull Island star is clearly excited to play the colourful superhero again.

Very little is known about what we should expect from the plot of The Incredibles 2, but returning writer and director Brad Bird has previously said that it will utilise unused ideas from the first movie. What those will be obviously remain to be seen for the time being.

What we do know is that Jackson will be joined by a number of original cast members, though Disney and Pixar have yet to reveal any major new additions to the franchise.
