Earlier today, a report surfaced claiming that Fox sources had confirmed that Deadpool will be PG-13. It had been said that star Ryan Reynolds and the rest of the team had been fighting to get an R-Rating, so this came as quite a blow to fans. Though some understandably dismissed it as an April Fool’s gag, the actor addressed the PG-13 rating via his Twitter account, seemingly lending that initial article some credibility.

Well, as it turns out, they were in on it together! In the video interview below (which starts off rather innocently), Reynolds is asked about Deadpool being a family friendly movie. It’s then that Deadpool appears and deals with the journalist in the exact kind of way you would expect the Merc with the Mouth to.

This is a very funny and very clever bit of marketing and after the recent costume reveal also offers up our first look at Deadpool’s suit in action. It looks great, but the fact that the video ends with Reynolds confirming that it will be R-Rated should come as music to the ears of fans worried he would be watered down for his solo movie next year. It’s becoming clear that it will be a lot of fun to follow this one…
