Most comic book fans thought that Deadpool would never get made, but Fox finally gave the R-Rated adaptation a release date last year, and production is now well under way in Canada. The marketing campaign so far has been very unique, with attention grabbing viral videos and images paving the way.

It was Mother’s Day in the US yesterday, and that led to Ryan Reynolds releasing yet another special image featuring the fan-favourite Merc with the Mouth. As you can see from the Tweet, it’s a bit on the tasteless side, but it also happens to be pretty damn funny and a perfect way of showcasing the quirky character.

Regardless, this is shaping up to be perhaps 2016’s most unique movie, and the marketing campaign is so far certainly differentiating it from what the likes of Marvel and Warner Bros. usually do with these adaptations.
