Apart from a handful of official images and a brief teaser which was shown exclusively to those at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, we don’t really know an awful lot about Batman V Superman.

Something which has been mentioned a number of times though is the fact that Ben Afleck’s Batman will be older and far more battle hardened than previous big screen versions of the Caped Crusader. The Gone Girl star has been spotted on set with grey temples, and new plot details shed some light on his Batman.

A new report claims that Batman has been operating for close to thirty years in Dawn of Justice, meaning that Bruce Wayne will likely be in his 50s. This version of Batman is an urban legend and “a creature of the night”, and no one has ever taken his picture. However, he’s still been very active as a superhero!

In fact, it’s said that he’s had a number of adventures and that these will be referenced in the movie. The Batcave apparently includes a memorial with Robin’s tattered costume.

That’s a reference to the classic “A Death in the Family” story which saw Jason Todd – the second Robin – murdered at the hands of The Joker when he beat Batman’s sidekick to death with a crowbar.

Ben Affleck’s Batman is a vigilante, and not a well-known superhero who operates in public with the Justice League as he’s been portrayed in recent comic books. Interestingly, the report states that Wonder Woman has been operating for some time as well, but also in secret.

What’s she been up to? That’s not revealed, bt it’s said to be, “badass as well… but in a very different, and unexpected, way.” Stay tuned to HeyUGuys for much more on Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice!
