“See, I got a problem. Cops don’t like me, so I don’t like cops…” – it is an astounding 30 years since the release of Paul Verhoeven’s RoboCop, a film that has earned iconic status and rightfully so.
Amongst the strewn body parts and an abundance of blood squibs is a production that very few would describe as merry. RoboDoc is the ultimate dedication to the 1987 classic and its less revered sequels.
It is clear this is a passion project that is made by fans, for fans, with interviews from more or less everyone in the cast and crew.
There is, of course, the noticeable absence of Peter Weller but with archived material it appears this has had very little impact on the project with the trailer leaving us in a sheer state of excitement.
