On the back of Wonder Woman wowing audiences at box offices worldwide, putting certain reviewers noses out of joint who can’t bear to see strong women winning and proving to be an inspiration to young girls all over the globe, more news is emerging that our fearless Amazonian General Antiope aka Robin Wright is to reprise her role alongside Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta in the forthcoming Justice League.

In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times Nielsen joined Robin Wright and Gal Gadot to reveal the family relationship is well worth exploring “Of course,” Gadot replied. “The mother and daughter relationship is always a beautiful but complex relationship. I think that there’s a lot more to explore.”

Nielsen went on to reveal that the Amazonian sisters would be teaming up for some more screen time together in Justice League “[Wright and I] got to do more in Justice League as well. As sisters as well. Kind of badass as well. We can’t say much, but …” She was then interrupted by Wright, who offered, “And more of the story, you get some of the history.”
