Whilst we’ve seen quite a few things from Ridley Scott’s return to sci-fi with Prometheus, I love the fact that we still have almost no idea what it’s about. The first trailer hit the Internet just before Christmas and it was somewhat epic.
We’ve now got a brilliant new teaser trailer to share with you, via Collider, that features a mix of new footage and things we’ve already seen, and it readily maintains the level of awesomeness we’re expecting from the film whilst still keeping things blanketed in mystery.
Even the official synopsis doesn’t give us much to go on, which is excellent:
“Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery.”
I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely keeping my fingers crossed that we won’t have a clear idea of what we’re in for until we’re actually sat in the dark in the cinema.
With a cast that’s headed up by Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Logan Marshall-Green, Idris Elba, and Patrick Wilson, you’d better believe this is going to be good.
Prometheus will be with us here in the UK on 1st June before heading to the US a week later on the 8th. Here’s the awesome new teaser for your viewing pleasure.
