Due out in a week’s time in the UK and Ireland, Michael Hoffman’s Gambit boasts an impressive leading cast in Colin Firth, Cameron Diaz, and Alan Rickman.

As leading casts go, that’s a very nice trio to have, and what’s more, the film is penned by the brilliant Joel and Ethan Coen, the four-time Oscar-winning writers behind such classics as The Big Lebowski, No Country for Old Men, and True Grit.

We saw the first trailer back in September, and with the film’s release now only a week away, Sky have debuted a retro new poster, giving us a look at Firth, Diaz, and Rickman in a rather Bond-esque one-sheet.

“Private art curator Harry Deane devises a finely-crafted scheme to con England’s richest man and avid art collector, Lionel Shabandar, into purchasing a fake Monet painting. In order to bait his buyer, he recruits a Texas rodeo queen to cross the pond and pose as a woman whose grandfather liberated the painting at the end of WWII.”

Starring alongside Firth, Diaz, and Rickman will be Stanley Tucci, Cloris Leachman, and Tom Courtenay.

Gambit will be released in the UK and Ireland on 21st November. Still no word yet on when or if it will be getting a theatrical release Stateside, but it may well land in the US sometime in the New Year. For now, here’s the retro new poster to give you an idea of what Colin Firth might look like as James Bond.
