The Victoria and Albert Museum in London is playing host to one of the finest collections of costumes from cinema’s past and present with its Hollywood Costume exhibition and tonight’s launch dinner saw the great and good converge on the V&A to celebrate its opening.

Featuring iconic costumes from The Wizard of Oz and Gone with the Wind to James Bond’s finery from Casino Royale the exhibition is one of the finest collections to go on display in years. If you want to take a closer look at Dorothy’s Ruby Slippers or marvel at Indy’s Hat and Whip combo then this is the place for you.

The Exhibition opens to the public on the 20th of October and runs until the 27th of January 2013 so plenty to time to click those ruby heels and say three times, ‘There’s no place like the V&A…’

Stefan Pape and Colin Hart were on the carpet as the diners arrived and we chatted to Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg and Mr Burns in his human guise of Harry Shearer.
