After re-watching Robert Schwentke’s original movie over the weekend, I’m even more excited for the arrival of RED 2, which is heading into US cinemas tomorrow.

The sequel sees Dean Parisot take over the helm in Schwentke’s place, with the latter focusing instead on directing R.I.P.D. (which sees him reunite with the ever-brilliant Mary-Louise Parker). And with just one more day to go before RED 2 hits in the States, we’ve got two new TV spots to share, in which we get to see Bruce Willis and co. in action.

In RED 2, the high-octane action-comedy sequel to the worldwide sleeper hit, retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. To succeed, they’ll need to survive an army of relentless assassins, ruthless terrorists and power-crazed government officials, all eager to get their hands on the next-generation weapon. The mission takes Frank and his motley crew to Paris, London and Moscow. Outgunned and outmanned, they have only their cunning wits, their old-school skills, and each other to rely on as they try to save the world-and stay alive in the process.

Willis is of course joined by another brilliant cast of new and returning faces, led by Mary-Louise Parker, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, and Brian Cox, alongside newcomers Catherine Zeta-Jones, Anthony Hopkins, Lee Byung-hun, Neal McDonagh, and David Thewlis.

Parisot (Galaxy Quest, Fun with Dick and Jane) is directing from a script once more co-written by brothers Erich and Jon Hoeber.

RED 2 is released in the US tomorrow, July 19th, and will be coming to our shores slightly later for its 2nd August UK release date. In the meantime, here are the latest TV spots to get you in the mood for the second slice of this action-comedy.
