RED-2-Teaser-PosterWith two blockbusters under his belt already this year, Bruce Willis will be returning to the big screen once more this summer in RED 2. The action/comedy promises to be the third hugely successful sequel starring Willis, following A Good Day to Die Hard and G.I. Joe: Retaliation in recent months.

The original line-up will be returning to the big screen for their second outing, this time with Dean Parisot at the helm in Robert Schwentke’s place.

And after seeing a handful of new character posters surface this week, Yahoo Movies have debuted the first full-length trailer, following on from the first teaser trailer that kicked the year off back in January.

In RED 2, the high-octane action-comedy sequel to the worldwide sleeper hit, retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. To succeed, they’ll need to survive an army of relentless assassins, ruthless terrorists and power-crazed government officials, all eager to get their hands on the next-generation weapon. The mission takes Frank and his motley crew to Paris, London and Moscow. Outgunned and outmanned, they have only their cunning wits, their old-school skills, and each other to rely on as they try to save the world-and stay alive in the process.

Willis is joined once more by Mary-Louise Parker, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, and Brian Cox. And starring alongside them will be Catherine Zeta-Jones, Anthony Hopkins, Lee Byung-hun, Neal McDonagh, and David Thewlis.

Parisot (Galaxy Quest, Fun with Dick and Jane) is behind the camera this time around, with brothers Erich and Jon Hoeber penning the script once more.

RED 2 will be hitting US theatres on July 19th, with its UK release date set for 2nd August. If you loved the original (and, really, you should have), then this is definitely a must-see movie of the year for you when it hits.
