You know, the Oscars weren’t the only major awards to be handed out this past weekend! On Saturday, the 34th Annual Razzie Awards were announced in a ceremony at IgnitedSpaces in Hollywood. While the Academy Awards celebrate the very best that Hollywood has to offer, these make a point of highlighting the worst.
While many expected Grown Ups 2 to walk away with the majority of the prestigious Golden Raspberry statues, it was in fact the even worse Movie 43 which would end up the big winner (or should that be loser?) of the night.
Will Smith and his son Jaden would end up taking away prizes for both “Worst Actor” and “Worst Supporting Actor”, a sharp contrast to eight years ago when both were praised for their performances in The Pursuit of Happyness. Many of his fans still right believe that the older Smith has an Oscar in his future, so choosing his projects a little more wisely from here would be smart.
Oh, and just for good measure, The Lone Ranger also took home a Golden Raspberry. See the full list of winners below, and then be sure to let us know what you think in the comments section! The full list of nominations can be found by clicking here.
