It’s not immediately clear when you watch the trailer what Raw is about, all you know is that it’s something seriously messed up. I’d love to create a montage video of you all when you watch this trailer and in fact would also love to see what I looked like when i watched it!
Raw is a French coming of age movie and is the directorial debut from Julia Ducournau and stars Garance Marillier, Ella Rumpf and Rabah Naït Oufella. Raw recently won the Sutherland Award at the BFI London Film Festival, and recieved the FIPRESCI Prize in Cannes.
Alongside the drugs, sex and rock ‘n roll the trailer features horse dissection, a car crash a group photo with blood being pours over said group, a lot of scratching until the skin is raw (get it?!) and someone eating their own tongue along with various other cannibalistic activities. If that doesn’t sell it nothing will! If you like your psychological horror movies, then this one is most definitely for you!
Please note, the red band version is definitely not safe for work but to be honest, the green band isn’t really either!
