Warner Bros. Pictures have confirmed that Rachel McAdams will return for a cameo appearance in Sherlock Holmes 2.
McAdams will reprise her role as Irene Adler, Holmes’ love interest.
The sequel to the 2009 hit stars Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Noomi Rapace, Stephen Fry, Kelly Reilly, Jared Harris, Geraldine James and William Houston.
Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Dr. Watson join forces to outwit and bring down their fiercest adversary, Professor Moriarty.
Sherlock Holmes 2 is once again directed by Guy Ritchie, and will be released in the UK on December 16.
McAdams can currently be seen in the workplace comedy Morning Glory.
