One of the most illustrious Bollywood actresses in the world, Priyanka Chopra has turned her head to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, to star in Baywatch – as the film’s leading antagonist.
Speaking to HeyUGuys during the London leg of the film’s promotional tour, Chopra explains that initially the role wasn’t written for a female, but for a man – and needless to say she was thrilled they changed the part for her. She also tells us about her own experiences watching Baywatch in India as a child, and how she was reassured that this reboot of the TV series would not be quite so of its time, and move into a modern world successfully.
Naturally we got on to the topic of working with Dwayne Johnson, and finally we asked Chopra about her ambitions to one day work in Hollywood (she didn’t have any) – and whether it’s something she’d like to do more of in the future.
