Taken director Pierre Morel seems to be the perfect choice to send an international hitman for one final scarper across Europe, then to throw rivals, the law and all other manner of scoundrels after him. That’s the set up for The Gunman, which had its UK premiere in London this evening.

Sean Penn is our next middle age action hero, with Idris Ebla, Ray Winstone, Wolf Hall’s Mark Rylance in support, some of whom were in town for the premiere at the BFI. Morel’s film is based on the novel The Prone Gunman by Jean-Patrick Manchette, adapted for the screen by Don Macpherson and Dredd director Pete Travis.

The fine figures of Cassam Looch and Colin Hart represented HeyUGuys on the carpet, here’s how they got on.
