More Han Solo casting news has surfaced today as we’ve learned that Phoebe Waller-Bridge looks set to be the latest addition to the all-star cast of the highly anticipated 2018 release.

As per usual, specific details are being kept under wraps, though it has been revealed that the actress will be taking part in a “CGI-driven performance.” Despite that, she’s expected to be a significant part of the ensemble in the same way that Chewbacca and C-3PO were in earlier Star Wars movies, and a good comparison would probably be Rogue One’s K2SO.

With Disney shifting the focus to Star Wars: The Last Jedi in April to coincide with this year’s Celebration, chances are that it will be a very long time until we see anything official from Han Solo. However, the start of production was actually released online not too long ago.

Best known for her role in the critically acclaimed Amazon series Fleabag (which she also created), Waller-Bridge has also starred in UK TV shows like Broadchurch and Drifters.

She now joins a cast which includes Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Woody Harrelson as Han’s mentor, and Emilia Clarke in a mysterious role.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller are directing, while Han Solo is set to be released on May 25, 2018.
