This summer sees Logan Lerman return to the franchise that really saw his career begin to take off, with the arrival of Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.
The second film in the series, based on Rick Riordan’s pentalogy of novels of the same name, hits the big screen this August, and we’ve got plenty of reason to believe that Fox have another successful blockbuster on their hands.
The latest trailer we saw a few weeks back promised another fantastical dose of action, and now Fox have released a new trailer promising still more epic sequences.
Based on the best-selling book, PERCY JACKSON: SEA OF MONSTERS continues the young demigod’s epic journey to fulfill his destiny. To save their world, Percy and his friends must find the fabled and magical Golden Fleece. Embarking on a treacherous odyssey into the uncharted waters of the Sea of Monsters (known to humans as the Bermuda Triangle), they battle terrifying creatures, an army of zombies, and the ultimate Evil.
Lerman is joined by a great ensemble, headed up by Alexandra Daddario, Brandon T. Jackson, Sean Bean, Nathan Fillion, Stanley Tucci, Jake Abel, Anthony Head, Douglas Smith, and Leven Rambin.
Thor Freudenthal is directing from a script penned by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski (Man on the Moon, The People vs. Larry Flynt) and Marc Guggenheim (Green Lantern).
Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters will be released on August 7th in the US and UK, and is sure to be another big hit as one of the more prominent family-friendly blockbusters of the year.
