We’ve known for a while now that Terry Jones was making a film with the rest of the surviving Pythons, starring Simon Pegg with Eddie Izzard and Robin Williams in support but we’ve seen almost nothing until today.
This unveiling of the first trailer gives us a good look at the general set up – sort of Pegg Almighty, with one human given the power (by Python-voiced Aliens) to do ‘absolutely anything’ he desires. If he uses his power for good the Earth is spared, if not – it’s Vogon bypasses for us all.
There are a number of great moments here, with Jones and Pegg on point with the surreal and very silly indeed. Robin Williams is the talking dog and steals the trailer completely.
The film is out in cinemas on the 14th of August. High expectations.
