“You talkin’ to me?” is one of the most famous lined ever uttered in the history of cinema, as Robert De Niro confronts himself in Martin Scorsese’s Taxi Driver. So needless to say it was our pleasure to sit down with the man who penned the very screenplay, with Paul Schrader in London promoting his latest endeavour Dog Eat Dog.
The film, which is, to be frank, batshit crazy, is certainly not for everyone, and Schrader discusses the more contentious moments from within the film. He also speaks about Nicolas Cage – who he has collaborated with on several occasions – while talking about his own role in the movie. Which is his very first on-screen appearance – but hopefully not his last.
